The Future Cities Collaborative is committed to bringing together policy, practice, and research to inform city leaders into inspired action. We are proud of our endeavors and are actively involved in producing research and reports on various urban policy issues for the betterment of New South Wales.
Housing Affordability
The Future Cities Collaborative is committed to helping our member cities explore methods and systems of providing a greater supply of affordable housing.
Implementing Green Infrastructure
The Future Cities Collaborative, with the support of the New South Wales Government and Waverly Council have undertaken a project to explore best practise in implementing Green Infrastructure projects at precinct scale in developed cities.
Local Finance Mechanisms
The Future Cities Collaborative seeks to assist local government leaders learn more about the wide array of financing tools used by local governments, business groups, and community organisations in the United States to fund, build and maintain vital civic infrastructure.
Innovation Districts
Innovation and the knowledge economy are at the front and centre of Australian political discourse currently. The Future Cities Collaborative is working hard to put together programs and projects for 2016 that focus on helping our members plan, implement, and create innovation districts to fuel economic growth, and provide jobs, housing, and transport to these new innovation districts.
Smart Cities
Parramatta City Council, with the support of the Future Cities Collaborative, will host a city leaders summit for the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Area that will provide a forum to explore the opportunities and challenges in creating smart cities.
